SmartPOS Workflows

Room Inquiry/Room Service Charge

  • Complete the following steps after logging into SmartPOS:
  1. Type the Room Number into the number keypad and select the Room Inquiry till function button
  2. Optionally, select the Room Inquiry till function button first to be prompted with a Room Number entry window
  3. SmartPOS will send a request to Opera for the Guest information & will then display a window with all of the received Guest Folios and any configured fields such as Guest arrival, Guest departure or user-defined fields
    • This window allows Operators to view breakfast entitlements, departure date, member number, etc.
    • If the room has multiple Guest Folios on record, they will all be listed
  4. After selected the desired Guest Folio, it will be added to the Transaction and will display the Room information
    • NB: At this point, if the information retrieved from Opera contained a member number within the A0 user-defined field, Bepoz will enquire Konami CMS with the member number and if a member is associated it will provide relevant member pricing/discounts, promotions, etc.; this will only occur if the Room Inquiry option is used, not if the charge is performed after selling items into the sale (as per a standard Room Charge sale within a Bar environment)
    • All member transactions that are charged to Opera will not process any points earn against Konami CMS

  • Operators can optionally select the Reslink Guest Data till function button to display additional information about the Guest Folio selected

  1. Products can then be sold in the Transaction
  2. To finalize the Sale, press Payment; this will display the Payment screen
  3. Select Charge to Opera as the Payment option (this name is configurable)
  4. This will charge the sale to the Room number & folio selected previously

Room Charge

  • Complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to SmartPOS
  2. Add Products to the Transaction, swipe Member's Card, etc.
  3. Select the Payment button to finalize the Sale
  4. Select Charge to Room Charge Link as the Payment option

  • The Operator will be prompted to enter a Room Number which will then send a request to Opera and return all Guest Folios that are retrieved
  • After selecting the desired Guest Folio, enter the amount to Charge to the Room and select OK
  • The Charge is then completed to Opera and the Transaction is finalized (if the entire Transaction balance is being Charge to a Room)
