This article covers the setup guide for Property Management System via Reslink.exe. This can be used for room reservations and bookings in hospitality industries.

ResLink allows charges made at the Till to be sent to a number of Property Management Systems (Room Reservations). Suporrted systems include Fidelio, Charts, Maestro, Opera and Trilogy. Most packages will use the Micros 4700 (TCP and RS232) interface as specified. Each needs to be tested as there is a little ambiguity around some of the spec.

• First, Bepoz must have an authorisation code entered to enable the Room Charge Link
• In Venue Screen set the IP Address and Port number for the ResLink program. By Default, the ResLink TCP Port is 11008
• The link allows for product totals, not individual products to pass to the reservation programme, and you can chose to use either product Types Sorts or Groups. Commonly programmes will only allow 8 department totals, so groups are useful however, recently some other systems allow for 16
• For each Till that allows Room Charges, the Till Flag Use ResLink must be set to on
• The Reslink Timeout between SmartPOS and Reslink.exe is specified via the CALink #1 Timeout Seconds- default is 5 seconds recommend 30-60 seconds

Fields sent to the ResLink Program

• Serving Period: This is the Shift Number of the Day (1-10)
• Revenue Centre: This is Till Number as setup in the Till Screen
