The "Table Limit" Sub-Function is designed to set a Monetary Spending Limit Amount for an Active Table. This Function can be very useful for Customers and help manage spending and Product Orders.
Prerequisite
- To access Till Function Settings, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
- Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
- System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flags
- To use this Till Function in SmartPOS, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
- Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
- General: "Operate Tills" Flag
- Tables: "Tables Sales" Flag
- Tables: "Create New Tables Flag
Initial Setup
- Click on the desired Button space and configure the Button Settings:
- In the Button Text field enter the text that will display on the Till Function Button on SmartPOS Workstation Screens
- Set the Function drop-down to 'Tables & Accounts'
- Set the Sub-Function to 'Table Limit'
Function-Specific Configurations
- In the Item Field, the corresponding number will:
- Preset a Table Limit Amount for the Active Table
- Limit Amount in Cents
SmartPOS Example
- After selecting the Table Limit Function and is also configured with a Preset Limit, a prompt message will appear informing the Operator that a Limit has been applied to the Table
- If no Preset Limit is configured, the Operator will be prompted to enter the Limit amount manually
