The "Table Walkout" Sub-Function is designed to close Tables and Report a Balance Loss on the Till. This Function is used when Customers receive their Order but leave without paying their Bill.
Prerequisites
- To access Till Function Settings, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
- Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab
- System Setup: "Maintain Till Function Maps" Flags
- To use this Till Function in SmartPOS, the following Operator Privileges will need to be enabled:
- Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
- General: "Operate Tills" Flag
- Tables: "Table Sales" Flag
- Tables: "Close Tables" Flag
Initial Setup
- Click on the desired Button space and configure the Button Settings:
- In the Button Text field enter the text that will display on the Till Function Buttons on SmartPOS Workstation screens
- Set the Function drop-down to 'Tables & Accounts'
- Set the Sub-Function to 'Table WalkOut"
Function-Specific Configurations
- Enter a corresponding number into the Item field where:
- "1" will prompt the Operator to enter a Reason for the Table Walkout
SmartPOS Example
- When the Table Walkout Sub-Function is selected within a Table Transaction, it will then be closed and the Loss Amount will then be displayed within the Product Transaction Menu
- Depending on the Function Specific Configurations, the Operator will then be prompted to enter the reason for the Table walkout
