Monitoring Operator Performance

Monitor and review staff shift data, sales, and productivity.

Introduction

Bepoz’s Operator Reports provide visibility into individual staff performance, shift activity, and sales handling. These reports are critical for identifying top performers, tracking discrepancies, and managing labour cost vs. revenue contribution.

You can monitor sales processed per operator, transaction volume, and access detailed shift logs — including cash movement and clock-in/clock-out data (if configured).

 

Accessing Operator Reports

  1. Log in to Back Office.

  2. Navigate to Reports > Sales & Analysis.

  3. Select one of the following operator-focused reports:

    • Operator Summaries

    • Operator Clocking

    • Operator Activity / Transactions

Apply relevant filters:

  • Date range

  • Operator ID or name

  • Store or terminal

Click Generate Report.


🧾 Operator Summaries Report

Provides a high-level breakdown of each operator’s:

  • Gross Sales

  • Discounts applied

  • Refunds and Voids

  • Net Sales

  • Transactions processed

💡 Best for identifying performance trends across your staff.


Operator Clocking Report

If your venue uses clock-in/clock-out functions, this report will show:

  • Start and end times

  • Total hours worked

  • Assigned terminal (if relevant)

  • Any missed or overlapping clock events

💡 Ideal for comparing labour hours against sales volume or validating timesheets.


💳 Operator Transactions Report

Provides a detailed, transaction-level log of sales activity by operator:

  • Items sold

  • Discounts or overrides

  • Payment methods used

  • Receipt numbers

💡 Use for detailed investigations or when tracking operator-specific discrepancies.



Best Practices

  • Run Operator Summaries weekly to spot outliers in sales or voids.

  • Pair Operator Clocking with shift rosters for variance analysis.

  • Investigate spikes in refunds or discounts with the operator’s activity log.

  • Set up operator permissions to restrict high-risk actions (e.g. refunds without approval).

Q: Can I see who applied a specific discount?

Yes — use the Operator Transactions or Discount Summary report with operator filtering enabled.

Q: What if staff forget to clock out?

Bepoz will mark incomplete sessions. Review Clocking Reports regularly and correct entries via Back Office.

Q: Are these reports exportable?

Yes — all operator reports can be exported as CSV or Excel for further analysis.
