📄New Bistro Mode in Version 4.8.1+
Bistro Mode is a special table mode designed for venues where orders are held at the table and printed to the kitchen all at once, rather than one at a time.
🍽️ What is Bistro Mode?
- Orders are held at the table (not sent immediately to the kitchen).
- Once all ordering is complete, everything is printed together to the kitchen and/or bar.
- A table will only be fully closed when:
- All parts are paid for
- All orders are printed to the bar and kitchen
🆕 What’s New in Version 4.8.1?
- Multi-Till Access
You can now open the same table on multiple tills at the same time. - Individual Orders and Payments
On each till, both staff and customers can place an order and pay for that order.
Each till works independently, allowing flexible service. - Important Change: Table Closure Rules
The table must be closed on all tills before it can be printed to the kitchen/bar.
After placing and paying for an order, you will close and print from that till.
You’ll see a message:
👉 “There is nothing owing. This table is still open on other tills.”
🔁 Final Table Closure Process
- On the last till that still has the table open, when you close and print, you’ll get a slightly different message:
“There is nothing owing. This table has been opened on other tills. Please reopen the table to send all orders to the kitchen.”
- ✅ You must now REOPEN the table to trigger the final print to the kitchen/bar.
- This step ensures all held orders are properly printed and processed.
⚠️ Reminders for Staff
- Communicate with teammates to avoid confusion about which till still has the table open.
- Always close and print when done on a till — even if it seems like nothing is left.
- The last person working with the table must remember to reopen it so the final orders can be sent to the kitchen.
In this update, we’ve made important changes to how tables work when used on multiple tills. Please read carefully so you know what to expect and how to operate correctly.
✅ When to Use This Mode
This mode works best when:
- You are taking a single order for a single customer
- You are working with a rolling tab

🆕 What’s New in Version 4.8.1
- Tables Can Now Be Opened on More Than One Till
You can now access the same table from multiple tills at the same time. - MASTER Till
The first till to open the table becomes the MASTER.
Only the MASTER till can process payments. - ORDER ENTRY Tills
Any other tills that open the same table will become ORDER ENTRY.
These tills can add items to the table but cannot take payments. - Opening an Already Open Table
If you try to open a table that is already in use, you will see a message telling you:
The table is still open on another till
Which till is currently the MASTER

⚠️ Important Reminders
- Communicate with your team so everyone knows which till is acting as the MASTER.
- Only process payments on the MASTER till.
- Double-check which till you're on if you're adding items or closing bills.
