📄Bepoz Terminology
A few of the Bepoz words we sometimes use.
Base Size - The size the product is purchased from the supplier, such as a 750ml bottle of wine.
Cost Inc - The cost price including GST.
Cover - A Cover is a seat at a Table and is considered as 1 guest (or person)
Default Size - Is usually set as your best selling size
Drawer Total – The actual amount of money, which is cash, cards and other payment types that will be in your cash drawer.
Ex Tax Difference - The difference between the invoices total excluding tax and what has been entered in the manual receipt.
Filter - The filter enables the data to be sorted according to different variables corresponding to the column that the filter is active.
Group - A number of things assembled together due to commonalities between them.
Gross Sales – The theoretical sales revenue before any discounts have been applied.
Inactive - Items dormant within the system and hidden from view.
Key - A sale button which will appear on the POS.
Key List - An assembly of products nominated together but not necessarily with commonalities.
Key Map- Where products, groups, or Keylists are organised and laid out in keys and assembled together to form a map to present in the POS, there can be several Keymaps accessible at one time.
KeyMap Set - The configuration of how your Keymaps are presented in the POS and essential for KeyMaps to be visible at the POS.
Layout Mode - How the Keymaps will appear in the POS
Multi Venue - When there is more than one establishment operating within a business.
Nett Total – The actual total revenue from product sales after Gross sales.
Non-Stocked - When a product is not to be counted in the system or is made up of other Ingredients, e.g. cocktails.
Payments Minus (-) Charges – relates to tables and/or accounts that are still open. It is the variance between what payments a Table group has and what has been sold .
Price Number - These are different price levels set according to what normal pricing will be.
Product - An item which is to be sold. Products can also be commands or condiments with no cost, necessary to be present in the POS.
Product Number - An automatically generated PLU unique identification number.
Scale Product - Is for products which are sold according to weight.
Server - Is the computer which links other computers and POS together and provides essential services across the network. The server hosts the Bepoz main software applications needed for the system to operate.
Smart Controller - An application which connects, controls and tracks the activities within the system. Consider it the heart of the system.
SmartPOS - Is the software program that runs on the physical point of sale in front of house.
Sort - Is a setting on the Product to determine what Sort of product it is, for reporting and printing purposes.
Sort Group - Is a higher level of organisation from Sort and is used for reporting purposes.
Store - Is a location within the venue. Stores can have their own Pricing, Stocking and Reporting.
Table Map - Where Tables, Seats and shape icons are arranged and laid out in pictorial representation of the Area of the club it depicts.
TableMap Set - The configuration of how your Table Maps are presented in the POS and essential for Table Maps to be visible at the POS. (above)
Type - Is what Type of product it is. As with Sorts, this is a method of grouping Products together based on a commonality, such as draught beer, spirits, RTD’s, food. it is used for reporting and printing purposes.
Type Group - Is a higher level of organisation from Types
Venue - The whole establishment.
View - Is a definition of what information you are viewing in the display area of a Report.
