📄BERG Interface Setup

This article covers the device setup process for the BERG Dispense Control System. 

Overview

BERG is a third party manufacturer of electronic beverage control systems; the company's equipment allows businesses to control the portion of the dispensed liquid, manage inventory and avoid unnecessary loss.

The system provides easy integration with Bepoz to automatically ring up and record every drink poured; this system ensures fast ROI and allows businesses to enable and dis-enable liquor control system at the beginning and end of the day.

 

Prerequisites

  • To set up a BERG Device, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled 
    • System Setup: "Access Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag
    • System Setup: "Maintain Venue, Stores & Tills" Flag

 

BERG Till Extension

  • After logging into Backoffice, go to System Setup > Venues, Stores & Tills
  • Select the designated workstation which will open a window with a list of all the devices integrated into the workstation
  • From the header, click on the 'Add New Device' button and select a blank device
  • Configure the device with the following settings:

 

Device Settings

Pour Without Release will simply pour the drink without BackOffice sending any acknowledgment
  • Base on Driver selected needs to be same on both Berg and Backoffice Device Settings
  • Once the device has been added, restart Smart Controller and BackOffice for the device to initiate 
  • Operators can now go to Backoffice - Product Settings to set the Price and Size of the beverages and test the workflow in SmartPOS
  • Furthermore, operators can go to BERG - Reporting to view reports generated from the sales of beverages via BERG
