This article is a step-by-step configuration guide to setup  the BackOffice Till Extension Device for the Metcash Loyalty Services in Bepoz BackOffice.

Prerequisites
  • Minimum Bepoz version v4.7.3.2 & above is required for this functionality
  • To access & setup BackOffice Till extension device for Metcash Loyalty services, the following Operator privileges must be enabled
    • System Setup Flags - "Access Venue Stores & Tills flag
    • System Setup Flags - "Maintain Venue Stores & Tills flag
    • Operator Maintenance 'General' Tab

Metcash Loyalty Till Extension Device
  • This device when configured supports searching & retrieving loyalty member information for Metcash
  • It also supports redeeming Metcash Loyalty points to pay against transaction on SmartPOS

Device Setup

  • After logging into BackOffice, complete the following steps to create & configure a Metcash Loyalty Till extension device:
    • Navigate to the System Setup component in the sidebar, expand, and select Venue, Stores & Tills to open the Venue & Till List Tab
    • Highlight the desired Till and click on the Add New Device button in the header; when prompted select 'Blank Device' and a New Device and Interfaces Maintenance window will open
    • Enter a relevant Device Name, set the Device Type to 'Till Extension', set the External DLL Name to 'Tillx_metcashloyalty.Dll', and the Class Name to 'Metcash Loyalty'
    • Click Advance Settings button to configure Metcash Loyalty Settings
      • General Settings
        • API Endpoint: Enter the API Endpoint provided by Metcash 
        • Token Endpoint: Enter the Token Endpoint provided by Metcash
        • Auth Endpoint: Enter the Secret Endpoint provided by Metcash
        • Auth Scope: Enter the Auth Scope provided by Metcash
        • Client ID: Enter the Client ID provided by Metcash
        • Client Secret: Enter the Client Secret provided by Metcash
        • Refresh Client Secret: The Client Secret expires every 3 months and can be refreshed by clicking this button which is update the Client Secret with a new value
        • SiteId: The SideId is provided by Metcash
        • Loyalty Program Name: Metcash allows the customers to redeem promotions. This is the Loyalty Program Name provided by Metcash
        • Points External Payment:   Create an external payment  for Metcash points and select the External Payment ID from the drop-down list
        • Account Custom Flag: When the Metcash membership card is scanned, the member details for the accounts which have the Account Custom Flag enabled are sent to Metcash
        • MSC Custom Text: Product custom text field that will contain the MSC used if not present in the supplier item table
        • Account GroupID:  Bepoz creates a local account copy for each Metcash loyalty customer when their loyalty cards are used on SmartPOS. Enter a Account GroupID to use as default account group to create Metcash Loyalty accounts  
        • Flag Options
        • Use Template Account: 
          • If the 'Update Accounts' flag is ON and this flag is also ON, the template account  for the given account group Id will be used for the account creation
          • If the flag is Off, then the base account settings will be used for account creation
        • Update Bepoz Account:
          • If the flag is ON, this will create/update the Metcash Loyalty locally in Bepoz
          • If the flag is OFF, this will not create an account for Metcash Loyalty account in Bepoz
        • Disable Card Scan:
          • Leave unchecked unless no scanner is used to scan member cards
        • Display Customer Message:
          • Optional - shows on screen messages during transaction
      • Card Prefix
        • The card prefix setup allows to define rules for processing loyalty card numbers scanned at the SmartPOS.
