📄What is a Price Mode?
This lesson explains different Price Modes that can be Added within Bepoz so that same product can be charged differently according to Customer Type, Promotional Schemes and/or Order Type
Overview
-
Bepoz System allows the operators to use different Price Modes for the same product depending on the transaction type
-
These Price Modes can vary the cost of products depending upon individual Stores, Venues, Promotion Type etc.
Prerequisites Global/Venue Settings
-
By Default Price Modes are turned off however these can be activated via the System Flags section within each venue'
-
If ON, pricemodes can be used for each PriceNumber
-
Prices can be set as an amount or percentage difference of the original price etc.
-
If OFF, all prices are simple price amounts that are used instead of the original price
-
Price Modes are shown within a product in the column to the right of the price/value
Price Modes Use This Price
-
This is the default setting
-
it means the system should simply use the price as set in the Price Column as the selling price
Use Base Price
-
If this is a redirected price (as set in the store Setup) then use the price as set in the original PriceNumber and the Original store as the selling price
-
For this price mode Operators will first need to configure a Price Redirect within the Store Maintenance
-
Below is an example of a Store with Price Redirects configured, in this case Price Numbers 2, 3, & 4 Redirect to Price Number 1
-
An example is shown below where the Base price of the product is $7.50
-
This mode is often used within a Table or account scenario e.g. when the same price should be used but a service charge is required
Percent Discount
-
This is usually not a recommended way of offering a discount as this has limited reporting
-
It is advised that either an account or a product promo is set to apply the discount
-
An example is shown below where the product is subjected to 50% discount
-
This mode is often used within a Table or account scenario
Discount or Surcharge
-
This is not a recommended way of offering a discount as this has limited reporting
-
It is advised that either an account or a product promo is set to apply the discount
-
An example is shown below where the product is sold at a discounted price of $1
- if set to Negative i.e -$1 then that price will incur a $1 Surcharge on Normal price
Zero Price
-
The Zero Price Mode will Ignore the Price setup and sell the product at zero price
-
This can be set for condiment products that are usually sold free of charge
Ask Price Auto Cost
-
It is recommenced that if this functionality is required then the below option "Last Cost Plus" is used as a more secure option
-
Disregard any price setup and simply ask for a selling price at the SmartPOS
-
Then the price field is used as the percentage of the selling price to use as the cost of the product
Last Cost Price
-
The price field is used as the percentage to add to the LAST COST to use as the selling price of the product
-
The example below shows that
-
the cost price is $2
-
Price Mode is set to Last cost Plus and the amount field is at 10
-
-
This means that the system will Add 10% to the Cost price to create the Sale Price
Use Price No Tax
-
This is the same as USE THIS PRICE however the tax is set to NO TAX
Pro Rata Size Price
-
The price field is actually set as the the Number of the price and units to Pro rata to get the selling price
-
This enables setting decimal placed prices
-
E.g. Size 2 = 100 items @ $100
-
size 1 is 1 item @ 0.02 pricemode = PRORATA SIZE PRICE (@ 0.02 = Size2)
-
the selling price for size 1 will be $1
-
