A guide to configure the Senor PicoPAD8's Mi Fare RFID Reader

Overview

  • There is a Senor Tablet that is based on the PicoPAD8 hardware. Within it, is a MiFare RFID reader.

Prerequisites

  • The "HYUSB_PINPAD.dll" needs to be copied into the "\Bepoz\Programs folder" in order for the Device to register correctly when running SmartPOS.

Step-by-step Guide

  • Login to Backoffice navigate to System Setup, Venue Stores and Tills

  • Select the Workstation/Till you would like to add a new device.

  • Right-click on the Workstation/Till and add new device -> Blank Device

  • Select Serial Data Input -> Senor Mi Fare 

  • Set Defaults 

 

Additional Info

Prefix Data: This simply prefixes the data sent with the characters in this field. Useful if the Card data has no prefix in it.


Login Key: Only Needed if using the CardNumber Source of Read Sector. This must match how the Cards are Programmed. See your card supplier/programmer.


Polling Speed: This determines how often the RFID is checked. Standard (100ms) should be fine.


CardNumber Source: Select Card Serial Number or Read Sector. Read Sector needs other fields setup correctly, Serial Number does not need any other fields setup.


Login Type: Only Needed if using the CardNumber Source of Read Sector. This must match how the Cards are Programmed. See your card supplier/programmer.


Login Sector: Only Needed if using the CardNumber Source of Read Sector. This must match how the Cards are Programmed. See your card supplier/programmer.


Read Block#: Only Needed if using the CardNumber Source of Read Sector. This must match how the Cards are Programmed. See your card supplier/programmer.
