📄'Set Oversell Qty' Setup and Usage

This article is an overview of the "Set Oversell Qty" Till Function

Overview

The Set Oversell Quantity Till Function can be used by an Operator to enter the remaining Quantity of Products (Non-Stocked) that are available to be sold - the Quantity on Hand (QOH). After an Oversell Quantity has been entered, warning prompts will appear as the entered QOH reaches zero.

It requires some setup in backoffice first.

Prerequisites

  • To access Oversell Features, the applicable Operator Privileges will need to be enabled
    • General: "Operate Tills" Flag
    • General: "Stock Functions at Till" Flag
    • Products: "Edit Products" Flag
    • Products: "Edit Prices" Flag
    • Operator Maintenance 'Till Privileges' Tab
    • Operator Maintenance 'Maintenance' Tab
    • Additional privilege flags may need to be enabled if a particular Till Function has been secure with a "Till Button Privilege" which are numbered 1-7

Product Setup

  • To set an Oversell Quantity for a Product, the Product must have the OverSell Warning flag enabled
    • When this Flag is enabled, the Product will display a warning when the Stock TIlls 'Main Store' is equal or below the 'Warning Level' setting for the Venue

The Product Must be in a Group or Keylist and not an individual Keymap Button

Set Oversell Quantity

  • After tapping on the Set Oversell Quantity Till Function button, a window will open displaying a list of valid Products for which Oversell Quantities can be entered
    • Due to customization capabilities in Bepoz, this Function button may be located elsewhere and/or may be labeled differently
  • To enter a new Oversell Quantity for a Product, either double-tap the Product or highlight the Product and tap the Enter Quantity button
  • A window with a number pad will open allowing the Operator to enter the Quantity; enter the Quantity and tap OK
    • If 999 is entered as a new Quantity, the Product will be understood to have no limit; no warning prompts or QOH will be displayed

  • Repeat the previous steps until the Oversell Quantities have been set for all required Products
  • Tap on the Post button to finalize the process and a confirmation prompt will display

An Example of the Product when Oversell is set

  • If an Operator attempts to sell a Quantity of a Product that is equal to or greater than the current QOH, a warning prompt will display
  • After a Product's Oversell Quantity has been exhausted, a Red Cross will display to alert the Operator that the current Stock is zero
